Completed in 2024, this 293-bed student accommodation preserves the Art Deco façade of the former Playland Amusements Arcade. The development features a mix of en-suite rooms and studios, combining modern living with historic charm.
JBC Control Systems Ltd collaborated closely with consultants and mechanical contractors to deliver a comprehensive Trend BMS solution, which includes:
Cold water storage and boosting
Domestic hot water control using low-GWP CO2 air source heat pumps
Monitoring of over 200 tenant electricity meters via Modbus
Oversight of ventilation systems, including extract fans and heat recovery units
High-level integration of the VRF system for heating and cooling in landlord areas
Monitoring of fire safety systems, including smoke/fire dampers, sprinklers, backup generator, and lifts
The Trend IQ4 BMS system was selected for its flexibility, enabling seamless integration of diverse building services.
